If you are looking to add a new garment to your wardrobe, something that is alluring and powerful, find it in Mugler clothing. The labels latest collection, available at Mytheresa, provides the perfect balance with pieces to help you build your power wardrobe beyond office wear and run-of-the-mill tailoring.
Luxury French fashion label Mugler, formerly known as Thierry Mugler, was founded in the 70’s. Not soon after it launched, the eponymous brand quickly rose to fame for its ultra-feminine and avant-garde designs. Mugler became known for embracing sharp shoulders and his audacious use of geometric shapes. His signature wasp waist, strong separates, and chic tailoring ruled the 80’s and 90’s. From outfitting and directing models in a George Michael’s music video to the famous black dress worn by Demi Moore in Indecent Proposal, Mugler clothing ruled pop culture. The Mugler brand is all about empowering women through art and design and although Thierry Mugler is no longer the lead creative director for the brand, he is still very involved in artistic side projects; most recently, being tapped as the costume designer for Beyoncé’s I Am world tour.
Every Mugler clothing collection features impressive silhouettes and sleek lines. No one can deny the ultimate appeal of a Mugler dress. The dresses’ iconic structure will easily give you the allusion of an hourglass shape and is said to have seductive powers. Coupled with your favorite pair of high-heel pumps, you’ll feel like you’re able to take over the world. For a more office appropriate look try one of Mugler’s wool or leather trousers with one of their cotton shirts. With their eccentric shapes and cut-outs, they make for an edgy twist on a classic style.
