Minimal yet modern, designer mules have taken the fashion industry by storm. That is why Mytheresa have compiled the finest edit of the backless forms for you to select from. The shoe is a supreme go-to option when wishing to add instant glamor to your attire. So whether you opt for a set of Versace metallic mules or slip into a bold canvas design, you'll be sure to make a bold statement.
The origin of the word 'mule' dates back to Ancient Rome when it was recognized as 'mulleus calceus'; a type of footwear worn by those working within courts and tribunals. Today, luxury names, such as Gucci, have developed the open back shoe in a range of opulent hues. We're a particular fan of their fur-lined creations, which match perfectly with jeans, a studded belt and a white shirt.
Whether you're looking to master a denim on denim ensemble or perhaps an all-white attire, designer mules will accompany almost every style format. If you're heading out for dinner this weekend, select a pair of culottes, dressed with an off-the-shoulder blouse and a set of Dries Van Noten leather mules. Alternatively, if you are seeking to add a little height to your outfit, then opt for a pair of Jimmy Choo platform mules. For those examining a structure that will suit running to and from meetings, then admire Gianvito Rossi velvet range. Co-ordinate one of their slippers with high-waisted pants, a Loro Piana blazer and a simple white shirt. However, if a day of culture is on the agenda, then appreciate Dolce&Gabbana's fun-loving number, which matches exceptionally with a summer dress, rose gold jewelry and cat-eye sunglasses.
