Cherished for the iconic wrap dress, Diane von Furstenberg clothing encompasses flowing blouses to perfectly tailored pants for a chic everyday option. Floral prints, radiant colors and luxurious materials such as silk; all reflect the American brand's feminine esthetic. Step into a long-sleeved dress with a contrasting pattern and match with a navy blazer for a modern office look.
Launching her eponymous label in 1970, Diane von Furstenberg made an imprint on fashion history with her creation of the jersey wrap dress. The Belgian-American designer came up with the idea when she saw Julie Nixon Eisenhower wearing a wrap top and skirt on TV; she then combined the two garments into one. The style instantly sold-out and dressed icons at Warhol's Studio 54, such as supermodel Jerry Hall. Nowadays, the figure-hugging number reached cult status and delights with new variations each and every season. Thanks to its comfortable yet smart fit, the format is a firm favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge for Royal duties and red-carpet events alike. Replicate her style and sync a midi dress with blue wedge sandals and a satin clutch.
In 2016, Diane von Furstenberg decided to focus on her philanthropic work and handed over the creative direction to Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders, who continues to create exceptional collections, ranging from outerwear to fine knits.
The label's clothing is effortless to style, no matter the occasion. Timeless silhouettes and contemporary patterns make the brand the ultimate choice on days you wish for an easy-to-wear, yet elegant outfit. Head to Sunday brunch in one of the signature silk dresses, nude Ferragamo ballerinas and a leather shoulder bag.
We also love DvF jumpsuits, which perfectly blend the lines between day- and nighttime dressing. Team a cropped one-piece suit to mid-heel sandals and a crossbody bag when meeting friends for a coffee. As day turns to dusk, add dashing pumps and an embellished clutch to elevate the look for the evening.
