VISVIM WMV is informed by the past, present and future. Draped kimonos sit next to selvedge jeans and rugged workers’ boots. Cutting-edge fabrications meet traditional Japanese paper-making techniques. Natural dyes give life to garments that are uneven and varied, demonstrating “wabi-sabi” – embracing imperfection.
Hiroki Nakamura founded VISVIM in 2001 after honing his technical prowess at Burton Snowboards. His expertise is evident in the label's performance-oriented outerwear. His childhood fascination with Americana, meanwhile, inspires the hand-stitched footwear.
