The Aida lamp is one of Angelo Mangiarotti's most characteristic pieces. Manufactured by the Danish brand, Karakter, the aluminum and steel lamp presents a sculptural silhouette that references Mangiarotti's architectural masterpieces. Here, the designer's narrow, elegant pillars are represented by a slim aluminum arm which, together with a black lacquered steel base, balances a half-sphere of white mouth-blown glass from which a soft light is emitted. The result is a silhouette in which the interplay between two large volumes connected by a seemingly fragile form creates mesmerizing tension. This lamp is suitable for EU, UK, and US plugs.
