A Cassina catalogue stalwart since 1957, the Superleggera chair is an homage to traditional artisanal skills and high quality materials, and its complex construction is a testament to the talent of the craftspeople at Cassina's Meda-based workshops. The result is a supremely elegant hand-finished chair with an inherent lightness thanks to a cross section of legs that allows the seat to weigh no more than 1.7kg – an impressive feat, especially taking into account the application of lacquered ash wood and India cane throughout.
