Secret Teachings of All Ages book

The first reproduction of Manly Palmer Hall’s great book, originally published in 1928, Taschen's Secret Teachings Of All Ages is a meticulously restored version of the Canadian writer's magnum opus. Produced nearly a century after its original release, this version of the book was created in collaboration with the Philosophical Research Society and now features condensed summaries of each chapter, newly-discovered artworks, and rare photography, as well as essays from journalists Mitch Horowitz and Jessica Hundley. Widely regarded as a pivotal compendium of philosophy and myth, Palmer Hall's book followed his months-long trip around the world, during which he immersed himself in philosophical and religious history and delved into ancient symbols, hidden rituals, and arcane practices. The resulting encyclopedia featured illustrations by artist J. Augustus Knapp and additional imagery by Mihran Serailian in the companion volume, for a total of nearly 60 artworks depicting occult subject matter. This volume comes with four prints in a portfolio, each selected from the many artworks originally created for the first edition of the book.
