Launched by brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina in 1927, Italian brand Cassina has excelled in the production of designer furniture and objects for decades. The company's first high-profile collaboration, which was with designer and architect Gio Ponti, laid the groundwork for subsequent partnerships with names that include Le Corbusier, Mackintosh, Gerrit Rietveld and Philippe Starck. Under Art Director Patricia Urquiola, the brand continues to lead a dialogue between the past, present and future in its production of modern icons.
