Modular Imagination is the result of a collaborative project between the American fashion designer Virgil Abloh and Italian brand Cassina which stylishly explores modularity. Comprising a series of components that span base units and connecting elements, the project invites users to fully participate in the arrangement of the furniture blocks by choosing how they may be configured depending on one's own needs and habits. This double connecting element is used to lock the collection's block modules together to create a variety of bespoke setups that celebrate of function, versatility, and intuition. When clicked into place in their respective sockets on the modules, the orange aluminum connector facilitates the creation of tables, stools, or even seats by allowing other components to connect on top or alongside each other. Marked with a round logo in bas-relief as well as the hashtag #AblohCassina for a permanent seal of this special and singular collaboration, this piece is part of a larger testament to Abloh's innovative contributions to contemporary design.
