New York-based, Dutch-born and Central Saint Martins-educated designer Sander Lak began his fashion career at Dries Van Noten, which set him in good stead to launch his own label in 2016. Instead of choosing to launch an eponymous brand, Lak instead derived his new venture's name by combining the first names of his father, Sijes, and mother Marjan.
