London-based Erdem is a beautiful world of the delicate mixed with the bold.
Erdem Moralioglu loves using encounters as a starting point for his collections – in the Fall, he imagined a conversation between two of his great grandmothers: one English, the other Turkish. For Spring/Summer '18, he felt inspired by a 1958 meeting between Her Majesty the Queen and jazz legend Duke Ellington. The result is a dialogue between sharp tailoring and bias-cut silhouettes, Prince of Wales check and bold floral prints, fringed tweed and feather embellishments. We’re eagerly anticipating a floral brocade cocktail dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves, as well as an emerald-green floor-sweeping gown crafted from delicate lace.
