Tribu stool

101 Copenhagen's collection grows with the addition of the Tribu stool – a rich coffee-hued seat that is designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, and inspired by tribal sculptures. Like the collection it is taken from, the piece is defined by a subtle balance between sharp architectural lines, seen vertically in the stool's fiber concrete base, and the soft, gentle forms that appear on the upholstered seat. The result is a hand-painted furniture piece characterized by sharp contrasts – black and white, soft and hard, smooth and textured – and easy balance.
