Launched in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni quickly became known for its inimitable quirkiness, translated perfectly into standout styles and statement jewellery.
THIS SEASON AT MARNI
For his second season at Marni, creative director Francesco Risso drew inspiration from the natural beauty of English country gardens, as seen through the eyes of avant-garde tastemaker Tim Burton. This artistic combination led to the creation of abstract floral prints, crayon-bright colour palettes and offbeat yet flattering silhouettes. We love the cropped trousers with elasticated waists for effortless everyday outings, while the bold summer dresses will work for daytime dalliances or elegant events alike.
THE MARNI STORY
Consuelo Castiglioni originally set out with a simple brief: to treat fur as an ‘ordinary’ fabric, making it chic and wearable, and dusting off its old-fashioned, passé image. When customers demonstrated a need for clothes to wear under their furs, the business expanded and the Marni success story began. Unexpected silhouettes, graphic colour blocking and contrasting textures soon became Marni signatures and cemented its place as an industry favourite.
