Upbeat and ever on trend, Carven is one of the coolest labels to come out of Paris.
THIS SEASON AT CARVEN
Carven Spring/Summer 2017 sees the brand’s designer duo exploring the house’s historic penchant for lace, lightweight fabrics and floral motifs. Mixing the more iconic side of the maison with a ’90s-inspired grunge spirit, Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud offer our spring/summer wardrobes lattice-style trousers oozing punk attitude, a sombre-but-sensual, asymmetric black lace skirt and an oh-so-spring floral black dress. Or why not a frilly miniskirt – perfect with one of the logo-embroidered sweatshirts.
THE CARVEN STORY
Since Guillaume Henry’s arrival at Carven in 2009, the French fashion house known for its traditional, couture-like style has been cheerfully refreshed. Henry’s more contemporarily minded creative direction has meant that Carven is now one of the brands that everybody wants a piece of. Editors and buyers are known to do their personal shopping at the memorable runway shows.
