Look no further for the epitome of strong, feminine style.
Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection moved forward fluidly from Hedi Slimane’s farewell show, continuing to frame the idea of the YSL girl through the lens of the '80s glamour scene. The show was infused with sculpted leather, puffed shoulders and a healthy dose of glittering leopard print – in short, styles that fit well with the brand’s current direction, while still showing the beginnings of Vaccarello’s unique influence. The designer’s deft handling, shaping fabrications fluidly across the body, is noted. Disregard anything we’ve said before about the Henry VIII leg-of-mutton sleeves style – it’s shaping to be the look of the season, and we can’t live without it.
