The Vaughan skirt from Erdem's FW20 runway nods to the work of photographer Cecil Beaton, who immortalized London's socialites in the '20s and '30s. Made from lightweight crêpe with a smooth silk lining, it juxtaposes two clashing motifs: a blue wallpaper-esque Wiltshire rose print, and a black-and-white checkerboard pattern used in Beaton’s early backdrops.
