Upbeat and ever on trend, Carven is one of the coolest labels to come out of Paris.
For FW16, Alexis Martial and Adrien Cailaudaud give Carven a brand-new attitude. Inspired by Kathmandu, the collection has a biker-chic, mountain-ready look with just a hint of ‘60s-inspired charm in the girly skirts and pastel hues. The rugged theme can be seen throughout the collection; shearling-trimmed moto jackets offer rebellious edge to Carven’s polished signatures. We’ve already chosen a favourite and can’t wait to layer the pale pink pieces with this season’s must-have puffer jacket to bring a dose of girly prettiness to urban looks.
Since Guillaume Henry’s arrival at Carven in 2009, the French fashion house known for its traditional, couture-like style has been cheerfully refreshed. Henry’s more contemporarily minded creative direction has meant that Carven is now one of the brands that everybody wants a piece of. Editors and buyers are known to do their personal shopping at the memorable runway shows.
