Upbeat and ever on trend, Carven is one of the coolest labels to come out of Paris.
Since Guillaume Henry’s arrival at Carven in 2009, the French fashion house known for its traditional, couture-like style has been cheerfully refreshed. Henry’s more contemporarily minded creative direction has meant that Carven is now one of the brands that everybody wants a piece of. Editors and buyers are known to do their personal shopping at the memorable runway shows.
SS16 at Carven sees Alexis Martial and Adrien Cailaudaud turning to the sea for inspiration. The theme can be seen throughout the collection; underwater-inspired prints and nautical stripes with dainty red accents on tailored silhouettes give that signature polished Carven look. We’ve already chosen a favourite and can’t wait to style the printed blue jersey dress with leather sneakers to bring a hint of the seaside to urban looks.
